GL pwnd..I don't have to go to class for another...45 minutes. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my worst days here, mainly because of my Art class...it's 2 hrs and 20 mins long. /die

Anyways, I don't know of anything that I'm going to have for homework that I can't put off until this weekend..so I'm probably gonna be on GW tonight from 6:30 pm-12 am my time

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my best days. 1 class on tuesday at 12 and 2 class thursday, 1 at 9 and 1 at 12. Good days for me even though my 12 o'clock class is boring as heck. Anyways off to class. Bye everyone.

tell me how it makes since to suspend a 10 year old child because they didn't turn in their homework? Doesn't it make more sense to give them MORE classroom instruction especially when said child is not getting some of the subjects?
And what is happening to this homework. I know it gets done because I have to do most of it. It seems like this teacher is a piss poor educator. If you are teaching the child the subject on which she is having homework, doesn't it make sense that she would at least get it and not have to have help at least part of the time?
I am getting really pissed with this school.

I agree Kailynn. Not turning in homework is no reason to suspend a kid. That is defiently negative reinforcement. As a 10 year old might see it now is that if they dont turn in their homework they get however many days off from school. Its not a smart idea. Let the parents deal with the punishment for the child not handing in homework. Inform the parents and let them deal with it, dont suspend the kid, they are only 10 years old. Its not like they know what to do when they dont understand the assignment. Just horrible teaching. A 5th grade teacher should be able to teach all the subjects well and have time to help every kid in the class with questions. Of course the kids should feel free to ask questions and not be scared too. Just down right stupid to suspend a kid for not turning in homework.

Wow..suspend a 10 yr old for not turning in homework..? That's really ridiculous. I agree with pwnd when he said, inform the parents that the child didn't do the homework and let the parents punish the child as they see fit, not the school. When I was in middle school the first time I ever didn't do my homework I got a detention, which I guess is understandable. But suspending a child is down right, stupid. Just goes to show the lack of knowledge they have when it comes to discipline.

I would definitely talk to the school about it and raise 10 kinds of hades. LOL..

Hey nine. Glad to see my rant wasnt viewed as stupid by everyone.

Anyways we didnt get our math test back, so i get to sweat about it till monday... right now im working on getting my schedule for next semester to work out. looks like a SOB. MWF 9-2 with an hour break from 11-12... TT wont be too bad, 9-11:45 i can handle. So i just have to run it by my advisor today or tomorrow. Lucky me, my advisor is one of my teachers.

So he already told me to come in, yay!

My child started kindergarten this year and if she does not turn in her homework she doesn't get recess that day. I can understand them teaching kids that everything has consequences. The problem is with her only being 5 it is more my fault if the homework gets forgotten.

They treat kids like they are 5 years older then they actually all. Yet we are always told to hang on to those years because we can never have them back. Then treat the damn kids their age, let them have their fun.

I feel bad that they're giving up suspending peoples for not turning in the homework. But it's what we called bad education! Teachers don't know shit.. all they care about is MONEY MONEY MONEY!!
